The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) role in Aramco-approved projects is a highly responsible position within the oil and gas construction industry. This job is essential for ensuring that all mechanical, welding, and piping activities meet strict quality standards and comply with Aramco specifications. The purpose of this role is to maintain safety, reliability, and long-term performance of industrial systems installed at major facilities such as gas plants and refineries. In projects like Tanajib Gas Plant, QC Inspectors play a critical role in monitoring workmanship, verifying materials, and ensuring that all construction activities are executed according to approved engineering drawings and industry codes. Their work directly supports operational safety and efficiency in high-value energy projects.
H2: Key Responsibilities
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying all stages of construction work, including piping, welding, and mechanical installations. This includes checking weld quality, reviewing fit-up before welding, and ensuring that all joints meet Aramco standards. Inspectors must also verify that materials used on site are approved and properly documented. They are required to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications. QC Inspectors also participate in site audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented to maintain project quality and safety standards.
H2: Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have strong technical knowledge in piping, welding, or mechanical inspection processes, depending on their specialization. Aramco approval or CBT qualification is mandatory for this role, along with proven experience in oil and gas projects. A deep understanding of international codes such as ASME, API, and ISO standards is highly required. The ability to read technical drawings and perform accurate inspections is essential. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and decision-making ability are critical for identifying defects and ensuring compliance.
