Introduction
Saudi Arabia’s industrial and energy sectors are among the fastest-growing in the world, driven by mega projects such as AMIRAL and other large-scale petrochemical developments. These projects demand highly skilled safety professionals to maintain strict compliance with international safety standards. With increasing focus on workplace safety and risk prevention, the role of Safety Officer has become one of the most important positions in construction and oil & gas industries. A very urgent recruitment opportunity is now open for experienced Aramco-approved Safety Officers, specifically for Indian candidates ready for long-term deployment.
Job Role Overview & Importance
The Safety Officer plays a critical role in ensuring safe working conditions across industrial and construction sites. In high-risk environments like AMIRAL, strict safety enforcement is essential to prevent accidents, protect workers, and maintain smooth project operations. This role involves implementing safety procedures, monitoring compliance, and ensuring that all activities follow Aramco-approved standards.
Safety Officers act as the backbone of site safety management. They ensure that every worker follows proper procedures, wears required protective equipment, and works within approved safety guidelines. Without proper safety supervision, large-scale projects can face delays, penalties, and serious hazards. That is why experienced and certified safety professionals are highly valued in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officers will be responsible for monitoring daily site activities and ensuring full compliance with Aramco safety regulations. Their duties include conducting regular inspections, identifying potential hazards, and taking corrective actions before accidents occur. They must ensure that all workers follow proper safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
They will also be required to conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for workers to promote a strong safety culture on-site. Preparing safety reports, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with supervisors and management teams are also key responsibilities.
In addition, Safety Officers must be prepared to respond to emergencies, provide guidance during critical situations, and ensure proper incident reporting procedures are followed. Their role is essential in maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must be Aramco-approved Safety Officers with relevant field experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects. Preference is given to Indian candidates as specified in the requirement. A strong background in site safety management, hazard identification, and risk control procedures is mandatory.
Candidates must have valid documents including Chamber registration, original passport, Absher, Iqama, Muqeem, and body fitness certificate. Strong knowledge of Aramco safety standards and international safety regulations is essential.
The ideal candidate should be alert, responsible, and capable of managing safety operations in high-pressure environments. Excellent communication and leadership skills are also required to effectively coordinate with workers and supervisors.
