This role is highly important in maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems used in oil, gas, and petrochemical plants. Key Responsibilities
Instrument Technicians will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining various field instruments and control systems. Their duties include calibration of sensors, inspection of transmitters, and verification of system performance according to technical standards. They will also identify faults, carry out corrective maintenance, and assist in preventive maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Technicians must coordinate with engineers and other technical teams to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently. Proper documentation of maintenance work and strict adherence to safety rules are also key parts of their responsibilities.
Skills and Technical Requirements
Applicants must have relevant experience working as Instrument Technicians in industrial, construction, or oil and gas projects. A valid Chamber registration is mandatory for eligibility. Candidates should have strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, control loops, calibration procedures, and field equipment used in industrial environments. The ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts is essential. Experience in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation faults is highly preferred. Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, and discipline in following safety instructions are required. Candidates must also be ready for immediate mobilization.
