Introduction
Saudi Arabia’s construction and industrial sectors are continuously hiring skilled safety and permit control professionals due to the increasing number of ongoing EPC and infrastructure projects. Among these roles, Work Permit Receiver (WPR) positions are highly important as they ensure that all site activities are carried out safely under strict authorization systems. A new urgent requirement has been announced for TUV-certified WPR professionals offering a short-term contract with the possibility of extension.
Job Role Overview & Importance
The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) plays a key role in maintaining safety compliance at industrial and construction sites. In high-risk environments such as oil & gas and large construction projects, no work can begin without proper permit authorization. The WPR ensures that all safety requirements are met before work starts, making this role essential for preventing accidents and maintaining controlled work conditions. This position acts as a communication link between supervisors, safety teams, and field workers to ensure all tasks are executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for receiving, verifying, and managing work permits at the site. Daily duties include ensuring all safety documentation is properly completed before work begins, coordinating with supervisors and safety officers, and confirming that all site conditions meet required safety standards. The WPR will also ensure that workers follow permit conditions, monitor ongoing activities for compliance, and report any unsafe practices immediately. Proper record-keeping and coordination with the HSE department are also key responsibilities. Since this role directly impacts site safety, attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must hold valid TUV certification and have prior experience working as a Work Permit Receiver in construction or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and site coordination is required. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in demanding field environments. Required documents include a valid Ajeer agreement, valid Iqama, criminal certificate, and medical fitness report.
