Job Role Overview & Importance
The Safety Officer position in an industrial shutdown project is one of the most critical roles on-site. At Hadeed Plant Jubail, safety professionals are responsible for ensuring that all shutdown activities are executed without accidents or violations. During shutdown operations, multiple teams work simultaneously, increasing the risk level significantly. A qualified Safety Officer ensures compliance with safety regulations, reduces hazards, and maintains a controlled working environment. This role is essential for protecting workers, equipment, and overall project timelines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring all ongoing site activities during the shutdown period. Daily responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, identifying unsafe conditions, and ensuring immediate corrective actions. The Safety Officer must carry out toolbox talks and safety briefings before work starts each day to ensure all workers understand site hazards and precautions.
