This recruitment is for short-term industrial projects located in Jubail and Ras Tanura. The Firewatch role is essential in oil and gas operations where hot work activities such as welding and cutting are performed. The purpose of this job is to ensure fire safety, prevent accidents, and maintain strict compliance with site safety regulations during high-risk industrial activities.
Key Responsibilities and Work Role
The Firewatch is responsible for monitoring all hot work activities on-site, including welding, cutting, and grinding operations. The main duty is to ensure that fire hazards are identified and controlled before, during, and after work execution. Firewatch personnel must remain alert at all times, observe work areas carefully, and take immediate action in case of any fire risk or emergency. They are also responsible for maintaining fire safety equipment readiness, supporting safety officers, and ensuring that all safety procedures are strictly followed in accordance with industrial site requirements.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Requirements
Candidates must have basic experience in industrial or construction site safety work. Firewatch applicants should be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in high-risk environments. Knowledge of fire safety procedures, emergency response, and site hazard awareness is important. Vendor code is mandatory for this position, and preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in oil and gas shutdown or construction projects. Applicants must also be willing to work under strict supervision and follow all safety instructions without deviation.
