A Flagman acts as a key safety communicator who guides equipment operators and ensures that all movements on-site are carried out safely and without risk of accidents.

This role requires constant attention and awareness of surroundings, as the Flagman is responsible for controlling traffic flow within the worksite. By using signals and clear communication, the Flagman helps prevent collisions, avoids delays, and maintains an organized working environment. Key Responsibilities

A Flagman is responsible for directing movement of vehicles, cranes, and heavy equipment within the construction site. They use hand signals, flags, or communication devices to guide operators and ensure safe positioning of machinery. One of their primary duties is to maintain a clear and safe pathway for workers and equipment, reducing the risk of accidents.

In addition, the Flagman must constantly monitor site conditions and report any unsafe situations to supervisors. They coordinate closely with crane operators, riggers, and site engineers to ensure smooth workflow.
