Overview of the Role
This urgent recruitment is for a Petrochemical Plant Shutdown Project requiring experienced technical manpower in Saudi Arabia. Shutdown or turnaround projects are highly critical operations where entire plant sections are temporarily closed for inspection, maintenance, and repair work. Skilled professionals such as Millwright Technicians, Instrument Technicians, and Mechanical Foremen play a key role in ensuring that all mechanical and technical systems are safely maintained and restored to full operation within strict deadlines. These roles are essential in oil & gas and petrochemical industries, where precision, safety, and time management are of the highest importance.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Millwright Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heavy rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines. Instrument Technicians handle calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of control systems and instruments to ensure accurate plant operations. Mechanical Foremen supervise maintenance teams, assign daily tasks, and ensure that all mechanical activities are executed safely and efficiently. All positions require strict adherence to shutdown procedures, safety regulations, and coordination with engineers and supervisors. Workers must ensure that equipment is properly inspected, repaired, and tested before plant restart, minimizing downtime and operational risks.
Required Competencies and Expertise
Candidates must have proven experience in shutdown or turnaround projects, preferably in petrochemical or refinery environments. Strong technical knowledge in mechanical or instrumentation fields is essential depending on the role. Mechanical Foremen should have leadership experience and the ability to manage teams under high-pressure conditions. Millwright and Instrument Technicians must be skilled in equipment handling, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures. Immediate availability for interview and mobilization is preferred. All candidates must demonstrate discipline, teamwork, and strict compliance with safety standards, as shutdown projects demand zero-error execution and full focus on safety.
