This role is critical in ensuring workplace safety, compliance with industrial regulations, and the prevention of accidents in high-risk environments. Safety Officers are responsible for maintaining strict safety standards across construction and operational sites, especially in large-scale energy projects where risks are significantly high. Key Roles and Responsibilities
The selected Safety Officers will be responsible for monitoring daily site activities to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. Duties include conducting safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective measures to prevent accidents. They will also ensure that all workers use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures. Additional responsibilities include preparing safety reports, conducting toolbox talks, and coordinating with site management to improve safety performance. The role demands strong leadership skills, quick decision-making ability, and the capacity to manage emergency situations effectively on-site.
Skills, Experience, and Professional Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in safety supervision, preferably in oil and gas or construction projects. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards is essential. Candidates should be capable of handling documentation, risk assessments, and site safety audits. Good communication skills are required to instruct workers and coordinate with supervisors and management teams. Basic safety certifications will be considered an advantage.
