Description

The Safety Officer and Work Permit Receiver roles are critical positions within large-scale industrial projects, especially in oil and gas operations like Amiral Project Jubail 2. The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all site activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations, minimizing risks, and protecting workers from hazards. The WPR plays an equally important role by managing and verifying work permits before any task begins, ensuring that only authorized and safe work is carried out on site. Both positions support smooth project execution while maintaining the highest level of safety compliance, which is essential in Aramco-standard environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer is expected to conduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective safety measures immediately. They must ensure that all workers are following personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and safety protocols. In addition, they are responsible for conducting toolbox talks, reporting incidents, and maintaining safety documentation as per project requirements. The Work Permit Receiver must verify all work permits, coordinate with supervisors, and ensure that no task begins without proper authorization. They are also responsible for monitoring ongoing activities and ensuring compliance with permit conditions at all times.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidates applying for these roles must have strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, especially Aramco-approved procedures. A Safety Officer should have experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
