Job Role Overview & Importance
Safety Supervisors, Safety Officers, and Work Permit Receivers (WPR) play a critical role in maintaining safe operations in offshore oil and gas projects. These positions ensure that all activities are carried out according to Aramco safety standards. Safety Supervisors oversee overall site safety operations, Safety Officers monitor daily compliance and hazard control, while WPR personnel manage work permits and ensure that all activities are properly authorized before execution. These roles are essential for preventing accidents and maintaining operational safety in offshore environments.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to offshore safety procedures. Safety Supervisors will lead safety teams, conduct inspections, and enforce safety policies across the site. Safety Officers will monitor daily operations, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). WPR candidates will verify work permits, ensure proper authorization, and confirm safe working conditions before tasks begin. All roles require accurate reporting, hazard identification, and coordination with project management teams.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of offshore experience in oil and gas projects. Aramco certification is mandatory for all positions. Required certifications include BOSIET, H2S, First Aid, and BLS. For Safety Supervisor and Safety Officer roles, NEBOSH IGC certification is an added advantage. Candidates must have a valid vendor code and at least 6 months validity on iqama. Strong knowledge of offshore safety procedures and risk management is essential. Only experienced professionals will be considered.
