The Scaffolding Technician plays a vital role in the construction, oil & gas, and industrial maintenance sectors by ensuring safe access to elevated work areas. This position is essential for building temporary structures that allow workers to perform tasks at height securely and efficiently. In large-scale industrial projects such as those in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, scaffolding work is a critical part of daily operations. The purpose of this role is to support various trades like welding, painting, insulation, and mechanical work by providing stable platforms that meet strict safety standards. Without skilled scaffolders, high-risk activities cannot be performed safely, making this job a key pillar of project execution and site safety management.
Key Responsibilities
A Scaffolding Technician is responsible for assembling and dismantling scaffolding structures according to engineering drawings and site requirements. The role involves ensuring that all scaffolding components are properly installed, secured, and inspected before use. Workers must follow strict safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain structural stability at all times. They are also required to assist in modifying scaffold systems based on project needs and different work heights. Coordination with safety officers and other site supervisors is important to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
