AHMAD MOHAMED OAID ALJOHANI FOR GENERAL CONTRACTING (AMOAGC) has announced an urgent requirement for skilled Welders (3G & 4G) for an industrial project located in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is suitable for experienced welding professionals who have hands-on expertise in structural and industrial welding work. The project duration is approximately 8 months, offering a stable employment opportunity for candidates already available in the Kingdom with valid documentation. The role is essential in supporting construction and fabrication activities where high-quality welding work is required to meet industrial safety and engineering standards. Candidates must be able to perform welding tasks with accuracy, strength, and adherence to strict quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Welder will be responsible for performing 3G and 4G welding operations on various structural and industrial components as per project requirements. Duties include preparing materials for welding, reading and interpreting welding symbols and technical drawings, and ensuring proper alignment before welding operations begin. The Welder must ensure strong, defect-free welds that meet inspection and quality control standards. They are also responsible for maintaining welding equipment, ensuring proper handling of tools, and following all safety procedures at the worksite.
In addition, welders must inspect completed welds for cracks, porosity, or any structural defects and correct them immediately if required. Coordination with supervisors and QA/QC teams is essential to ensure compliance with project specifications. The Welder must strictly follow site safety rules, use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, and ensure that all welding activities are carried out in a controlled and safe environment. Maintaining discipline and productivity on-site is also a key requirement for this role.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have proven experience in 3G and 4G welding positions, preferably in industrial, oil and gas, or construction projects. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including SMAW, FCAW, or related processes, is required. Candidates should be able to read technical drawings and understand welding symbols and specifications. Experience in structural steel welding and fabrication is highly preferred.
Good hand-eye coordination, physical fitness, and attention to detail are essential for producing high-quality welds. Candidates must be familiar with industrial safety procedures and welding safety standards. The ability to work under pressure and in challenging site conditions is also important. Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC projects will be considered an added advantage.
