Introduction
The construction and industrial sector in Saudi Arabia continues to expand rapidly, especially in key industrial cities like Jubail. With ongoing development in oil, gas, and infrastructure projects, the demand for skilled site coordination professionals is steadily increasing. One of the most important roles in this environment is the Work Permit Receiver (WPR), who ensures that all site activities are carried out safely and in compliance with regulations. A new long-term opportunity is now available for experienced and qualified candidates looking to build a stable career in the Kingdom’s growing construction industry.
Job Role Overview & Importance
The Work Permit Receiver plays a critical role in maintaining safety and operational control at industrial and construction sites. This position is essential for ensuring that all work activities are properly authorized before execution, reducing risks and ensuring compliance with safety standards. In large-scale projects across Jubail, the WPR acts as a communication bridge between site management, safety officers, and workers. Without proper permit control, high-risk operations cannot proceed, making this role highly valuable in maintaining safe and efficient project execution.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling work permits for non-Aramco project operations and ensuring that all site activities follow approved safety procedures. Daily tasks include coordinating with supervisors and safety teams to obtain necessary approvals before work begins. The WPR must verify job site conditions, ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards, and confirm that all required documentation is in place before issuing permits.
In addition, the role involves monitoring ongoing activities to ensure they remain within approved permit conditions. The candidate must also maintain proper records, coordinate with third-party inspectors when required, and ensure all workers follow safety guidelines such as wearing PPE and following hazard control measures. Strong attention to detail is essential, as even small errors in permit handling can impact site safety and project timelines.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should have prior experience in construction or industrial site environments, particularly in permit handling or safety coordination roles. Knowledge of safety systems, risk assessment procedures, and site documentation is highly important. Candidates must hold valid certifications including OSHA, First Aid & BLS (Saudi Heart Association issued), and a third-party safety card.
A valid Iqama, Muqeem, passport, medical fitness certificate, insurance, GOSI registration, and Ajeer/Vendor Code are mandatory requirements. Candidates with strong communication skills, basic English understanding, and the ability to work under pressure will be preferred. Experienced professionals are highly encouraged to apply, though candidates with relevant certifications and willingness to learn may also be considered.
