An urgent manpower requirement has been announced for experienced Riggers (Rigger Level 3 – Aramco approved) for an industrial project located in Juaymah, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for skilled rigging professionals who have prior experience working in oil and gas or heavy industrial environments. The project is associated with Aramco standards, which means strict compliance with safety, lifting procedures, and operational guidelines is required. Candidates will be selected for a long-term industrial assignment where teamwork, discipline, and safety awareness are highly important. This role plays a critical part in lifting and moving heavy equipment safely at project sites, ensuring smooth construction and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Riggers will be responsible for safely carrying out lifting, shifting, and positioning of heavy materials and equipment using appropriate rigging tools and techniques. They must ensure that all lifting operations are performed in compliance with Aramco-approved safety standards and site regulations. Riggers are required to inspect lifting gear such as slings, shackles, cranes, and hooks before use to ensure they are in safe working condition. They must coordinate closely with crane operators, supervisors, and signalmen to ensure safe execution of lifting activities. Proper communication through hand signals or radio communication is essential during operations. The Rigger must also ensure that work areas are properly secured and free from hazards before any lifting activity begins. Any unsafe condition or equipment defect must be reported immediately to supervisors to prevent accidents.
In addition, Riggers must follow all site safety procedures, attend toolbox talks, and strictly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. They are also responsible for ensuring proper load calculation and balance before lifting operations. Maintaining discipline on-site and following instructions from supervisors is a key requirement for this role. The job requires physical strength, alertness, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor industrial environments.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have proven experience in rigging work, preferably in Aramco or similar oil and gas projects. A valid Rigger Level 3 certification is required or highly preferred. Candidates should have strong knowledge of lifting techniques, load handling, and rigging safety standards. Understanding of industrial safety regulations and emergency procedures is essential. Experience in handling heavy equipment in petrochemical or construction environments will be considered an advantage.
Good communication skills are required to coordinate effectively with crane operators and site supervisors. Candidates must be able to read and understand lifting plans and follow technical instructions accurately. Physical fitness and the ability to work under pressure in industrial conditions are also important. Strong awareness of safety hazards and the ability to prevent accidents through proper planning and execution are key qualities for this position.
