Description
A Rigger plays a vital role in the construction, industrial, and oil & gas sectors, ensuring the safe and efficient lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials. Riggers are responsible for assembling and maintaining rigging systems, such as slings, cranes, and hoists, which are critical for operational safety. Their expertise ensures that projects proceed without delays and that equipment and personnel are protected. In large-scale projects, such as those in industrial cities or oil refineries, skilled riggers are indispensable for maintaining high safety standards and project efficiency. Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of a Rigger II and Rigger III include setting up, inspecting, and maintaining rigging equipment in compliance with safety regulations. They must assist in lifting and positioning heavy machinery, ensuring that loads are balanced and secure before movement. Rigging personnel coordinate closely with crane operators, site engineers, and supervisors to execute lifts efficiently. Additional duties include conducting pre-lift inspections, maintaining rigging tools and slings, reporting any equipment defects, and adhering to safety protocols. Skills and Knowledge
Candidates should possess 7–10 years of relevant rigging experience, particularly in construction or oil and gas projects. Physical fitness, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are critical.
