Work Permit Receiver

Description

Work Permit Receiver (WPR) positions are among the most important safety-related roles in industrial and construction projects in Saudi Arabia. Companies working on large industrial sites rely on WPR professionals to ensure that every task performed on site is properly authorized and safe to execute. A Work Permit Receiver acts as the link between the workforce and the safety management system. Before any work begins, permits must be reviewed, approved, and communicated clearly to all team members. This process helps prevent accidents and ensures compliance with safety regulations. The current opportunity offered by MUBTAKIR AL-A.MAL. MOMCO is for experienced WPR professionals to work on projects in Jubail, one of Saudi Arabia’s major industrial cities.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duty of a Work Permit Receiver is to manage and coordinate the work permit system on site. This includes receiving permits from the issuing authority, reviewing safety conditions, and ensuring that all workers understand the job scope and hazards before starting work. WPR personnel must verify that proper safety equipment and procedures are in place. They also communicate with supervisors, safety officers, and workers to ensure compliance with site regulations. In addition, they maintain records of issued permits, monitor work progress, and report any safety issues or violations immediately. Their role is essential in maintaining a safe working environment on industrial projects.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidates applying for a Work Permit Receiver role should have strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures and permit-to-work systems. Experience working on oil and gas or large industrial construction sites is highly valuable. Applicants must be able to read and understand safety documentation and communicate clearly with team members. Many companies prefer candidates with relevant certifications such as TUV or similar safety training. Attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to work under pressure are also important qualities. Workers should be familiar with standard safety practices, hazard identification, and site coordination to ensure that work activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
