Job Description
The Safety Officer role focuses on maintaining full safety compliance at project sites and ensuring that all workers follow approved safety procedures. Candidates will be responsible for monitoring daily site activities, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all operations meet industrial safety standards required in SABIC projects.
This position is highly important in preventing accidents and maintaining safe working conditions in hazardous environments such as construction and petrochemical plants. The selected candidates will work in long-term projects with immediate mobilization, contributing directly to project safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor all site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments on project sites
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers
Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to implement safe work practices
Investigate incidents and prepare detailed safety reports when required
Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for workers
Ensure adherence to SABIC safety standards and project guidelines
Maintain records of inspections, permits, and safety documentation
Skills and Knowledge
Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and hazard control systems
Knowledge of SABIC safety standards and large-scale project requirements
Ability to conduct inspections and prepare safety reports
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with site teams
Strong awareness of risk management and emergency response procedures
Physically fit and capable of working in industrial site conditions
Minimum relevant safety experience in construction or petrochemical environments
Valid certifications in occupational health and safety preferred
