The Safety Supervisor role is a highly responsible position within the construction, oil & gas, and industrial maintenance sectors, particularly in Aramco-approved projects. This job focuses on ensuring safe working conditions for all site personnel while carrying out high-risk operations such as confined space entry, tank maintenance, welding, blasting, and scaffolding activities. Key Responsibilities

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for monitoring all ongoing site activities, especially high-risk tasks like MFL inside tank confined space work, blasting, grinding, cutting, welding, bottom plate replacement, scaffolding erection and dismantling, and coating operations. The supervisor ensures that all workers follow proper safety procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and use approved tools and methods during execution. They conduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, and immediately implement corrective actions to eliminate risks. Additionally, they are required to conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency response training sessions to keep workers aware of site safety protocols. Reporting incidents, maintaining safety documentation, and coordinating with project engineers and management are also key parts of their responsibilities.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidates applying for this position must have strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, especially Aramco safety regulations and confined space entry procedures. A minimum of 7 to 8 years of experience in safety supervision within construction, shutdown, or oil & gas projects is required. The candidate should be fully familiar with scaffolding safety, hot work permits, welding hazards, blasting precautions, and coating safety procedures. Strong leadership skills are essential to manage teams effectively and enforce safety discipline on-site. Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRA), and emergency response planning is also necessary. Communication skills, quick decision-making ability, and the capability to handle emergency situations calmly are highly valued in this role.
