Introduction
Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas industry frequently opens short-term but high-value shutdown and maintenance projects that require certified and experienced manpower. Ras Tanura, one of the key industrial hubs of Aramco operations, has announced a very urgent requirement on rental basis for multiple skilled positions. These roles are ideal for certified professionals in rigging, safety, scaffolding, welding, coating, and quality control who are ready for immediate mobilization. Such projects offer strong exposure to Aramco standards and fast-paced industrial environments.
Job Role Overview & Importance
Each position in this shutdown project plays a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient execution of maintenance and construction activities. Riggers and WPRs are responsible for lifting operations and work permit control, ensuring all activities follow strict safety procedures. Fire watchers maintain safety during hot work operations to prevent fire hazards. QC inspectors and supervisors ensure that welding, piping, coating, and scaffolding work meets Aramco quality standards. These roles are essential in high-risk oil and gas environments where safety, compliance, and precision are top priorities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Riggers (Level 3 and Level 1) will handle lifting operations, load securing, and coordination with crane operators. WPR (Work Permit Receiver) professionals will manage permit systems and ensure compliance with safety protocols before starting work. Fire watchers will monitor hot work areas and act immediately in case of fire risks. Supervisors in coating and scaffolding will manage teams, inspect ongoing work, and ensure compliance with project specifications. Welding QC Supervisors, Welding Inspectors, and Piping QC Inspectors will be responsible for inspection, documentation, testing verification, and ensuring all work aligns with Aramco quality requirements. All workers must strictly follow safety procedures and maintain discipline throughout the shutdown duration.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must have valid Aramco approval and relevant certifications for their respective positions. Previous experience in oil and gas shutdown projects is highly preferred. Candidates should understand industrial safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and technical inspection procedures. Strong field experience in rigging, welding inspection, scaffolding supervision, or coating supervision will be a major advantage. Applicants must also be physically fit, ready for immediate mobilization, and capable of working in high-pressure industrial environments. Valid Saudi documents such as Absher Iqama, Muqeem, insurance, and chamber registration are mandatory.
